Steve Stine

Steve provides service and advises clients in diverse areas that include municipal operations, employment and education law, trial and appellate litigation and all types of commercial transactions. Immediately before joining the firm in 2014, Steve served as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Birmingham; in that position he provided services to public officials on hundreds of public works projects, closed numerous real estate and other transactions, helped resolve commercial claims, and represented the City in selected personnel cases and other litigation. While serving as Staff Attorney for two Alabama Supreme Court Justices during 2006-07, Steve had a significant role in drafting 22 civil opinions published by that Court. Before focusing his practice in the public sector, Steve also served as in-house counsel for two publicly-traded corporations based in Alabama and provided them a wide array of legal services for over two decades.
